Turning dreams into dream homes

When the Webernick family chose to leave the big city of Houston and build their dream home in Blessing, Texas, they weren’t exactly sure what to expect. The horse trainer from Houston and her husband relocated to Matagorda County this year to be closer to her husband’s workplace at Formosa Plastics.

Tori Webernick knew exactly what the family needed and says Lynn Construction turned those dreams into reality.

“We’re so blessed,” she said. “Lynn Construction delivered an absolutely beautiful home. The overall experience was just amazing and our project manager, Rondie, was a pleasure to work with.”

COMMUNICATION IS KEY

Communication is key when bringing a custom home to life.

“Rondie was such a big help,” said Webernick. “He always answered my calls and texts no matter what time of day or what my question was about. He is so responsive. That helped make all of the little details just perfect.”

The home features a custom-made 5’ x 8’ front door, a section of accent walls on the front elevation that gives life to the exterior and stained concrete flooring throughout.

Other features include a master suite of epic proportions. The walk-in closet features a makeup desk and the suite also houses an oversized master shower with a modern freestanding tub situated beneath a large window.

MAKING THE MOST OF EACH DAY

Lynn Construction poured the foundation for the Webernick’s 3BR/2BA craftsman home on February 27 and the family moved into the home the first week of June. Within that 90-day timeline, a lot happened, and Tori was there for all of it.

“During construction, my husband, our one-year-old and our two dogs moved in with my in-laws right across the street,” she said. “Not only did that allow me to be pretty hands-on, but I got to see just how much goes into a project like this.”

Tori praised Lynn Construction for taking advantage of every opportunity to make progress.

“There were very few days with little activity at the worksite,” she said. “Any day that work didn’t happen was either due to weather or materials in transit.”

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

Lynn Construction overcame challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and public health crisis to stay on top of schedule as well. Tori said she had no reservations as the team took extra safety precautions during the build process.

Of her favorite experiences, picking fixtures and colors was made even more enjoyable as the Lynn Construction team could often quickly source the same or better materials while saving the family money.

“I knew every detail of what I wanted,” she said. “Becca went above and beyond to shop around and find us the best deals on everything. She worked very hard to save us money while still accomplishing the look I was hoping for.”

When obstacles outside of anyone’s control arose, Lynn Construction found ways to progress, stay on schedule and overcome the hurdle.

“I remember the backsplash tile arrived damaged in shipping,” said Webernick. “Instead of slowing down the process, they found us replacement tile and went and picked it up that same day to keep us on schedule.”

When asked about her first night in the family’s new home, Webernick was not lost for words.

“Oh, man. You have no idea,” she said. “It was glorious. Amazing. We are so fortunate.”
